1. Well suited: - You don't want to spend time and a lot of money at once on SAP Infrastructure - You don't have specialized S4 Hana support people in your team - You want to pay monthly for the service - You need to support many processes of your company with one integrated solution 2. Less appropriate: - You already have good HW / SW Infrastructure compatible with S4 Hana - You already have specialized S4 Hana support people in your team - Your company needs IT solution software for support just 1 or 2 processes
For simple business model which does not need much customization and needs quicker implementation ,SAP S/4HANA Cloud is well suited. It is a "Less features- Less hassle" model where SAP subscription helps to monitor performance, upgrade with much less headache. But for complex industries, custom solutions should be allowed for adoption and in these cases SAP S/4HANA Cloud may not be suitable at all.
It is really suitable when you have a lot of data to fill in the ERP system and when you expect quick data retrieval. In a situation where you need to convert all business processes into one ERP system. Situations where you need a highly reliable and secure IT ERP system. It is less suitable for small businesses that cannot use all the features of SAP S4 /HANA.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud suits perfectly well for reporting and analytics, it offers the best service in terms of security. Customization enables to implement a process best suited for our organization. Initially, during the implementation phase, the user might face a few difficulties while getting acquainted with the platform. Proper training modules can be included.
S/4HANA is great in providing industry-standard processes, especially in the areas of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-2-report, and forecast-to-stock. When it comes to adding functionalities, that are not within the scope of the standard business content, complex developments are necessary that require significant resources in both implementation and maintenance. Integration to other SAP solutions is good (both on-premise and cloud) but has lots of improvement potential in integrating to non-SAP solutions.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is well suited for almost all industries. Various factors determine the choice of SAP S/4HANA Cloud versions. SAP S/4HANA Cloud is well suited for customers who choose to be on a single tenancy, with minimal or no customization. This is well suited for clients who adopt SAP S/4HANA Cloud Best Practice standards, as an out-of-the-box solution for Greenfield implementations. SAP S/4HANA Cloud is yet to be adopted at a larger scale in the Insurance and Banking industries.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a great if you are currently using ECC. You can either convert to Private cloud edition (If your requirements are not standard processes and wants to have better control) or Public cloud ( If you want to start with clean system with standrdized system with enhancement using FIORI and BTP services). For some of the industry (except professional services and Manufacturing) public cloud version is not suitable
As I stated before, SAP handles most all the sales, purchasing and manufacturing processes our business does. The one area it falls short is software licensing and sales. We had to develop our own processes within SAP to do this. Some of the processes piggy back on some existing processes, but it does not work perfectly and many enhancements were created.
I have already recommended a few of SAP products to my collogues already and SAP S/4HANA is so good that if any of the people who could afford it for their business bought it won't regret the decision. I am a freelancer and having managed it for many clients I can say that for sure, from experience.
It is well suited for large organizations and corporates where business-critical transactions have to be managed in an ERP. It is the no.1 ERP in the world and is trusted by various customers all over the world. To provide one view of the business of any organization, this is the ERP to be used. Also advised to all customers who are on the previous version to upgrade to S/4HANA.
Suitability: Large multinational organisations where integrated business processes and planning play a key role. Less appropriate: organisation with limited diversity w.r.t concerning business process
I think SAP S/4HANA can be a good program for inventory management in the biotech world and I have used it at almost all of them. I just feel like it could be a little more streamlined and user-friendly. Or potentially just if we had more training and super users on SAP or a manual for ease of use for our inventory management needs.
it has a vast category of functions and covers many requirements, is easily scalable, time-saving, and frequently adopts changes for HR, finance, and other business purposes. sometimes slow and inconsistent, complex functionalities, not much flexible which make it less appropriate to use.
SAP Cash management [...] has [made] lots of improvement. The data is real-time, FQM_flow. Now it's easy to get the real-time balance. Earlier it was [a] configuration of grouping and summarization terms. But in liquidity forecast, it's complicated. The flow type concept in cash management is not visible to [the] user, only the new flow type we can see.
It is well suited for companies that want structure and process implemented in various areas of the business from procurement to logistics and even finance and controlling. Where I see it less appropriate is if the company isn't willing to analyze profitability by product and just wants general tracking for bookkeeping purposes
1. FIORI Apps for almost all T codes are available, which can run on mobile devices is [a] major achievement. 2. Interfaces with Machine is not directly available within S/4 HANA, need to use PI/PO, but still I feel [it] is possible, without the need of PI/PO. 3. AI part is still missing, which, if introduced, will definitely be a boost to SAP.
Better user experience on SAP Fiori app and move from transactional data to [a] real-time database. Reinvent business model. Simply the business processes and drive them in real-time and adapt instantly. It makes data analytics simple and keeps the process simple to end-user with less training and thus improving productivity.
Scenarios where SAP S/4HANA is well suited: 1. Collecting info and producing it in [a] systematic manner which can further be instrumented for better analytical tacts. 2. Using this product is quite easy; hence to use this product is no big deal. 3. From the end of [the] implementor, since this comes with great customization so there's a lot of flexibility which is very much required for a readymade product. 4. Great support from the SAP itself.
Now whats not appropriate; 1. In my organization, [the] size of [the] company is quite big, and most of the time people use this product [at the] same time hence a lag is observed which can be improvised by optimizing the backend also and design (as per my thoughts). 2. Whenever there's some issue in using this product, the exceptions come in a very general way, which causes, rather forces, to restart the process and go for the same way again. So a workaround room is there, that exceptions should be broken down to more specific cases which can lead [the] user to narrow down thoughts what went wrong and can support in [a] better way.
In my daily work of finance and accounting.it is very useful and helpful software. Easy tracking and reporting. I can easily download the detailed view report and track and share it with my clients.
S/4 Hana is the next generation of SAP. It is built both for on-premise and for the cloud. There are various factors [that] decide where SAP s4 HANA suits best. SAP provides "SAP best practices". Kindly check in detail about "SAP best practices" to know more. As per my experience, I work for a global chemical industry [that] users SAP s/4 HANA.
S/4HANA is best suited for large enterprises where end-to-end integration is important with business networks and industry-specific solutions. However, for niche area products like subscription management other key products like Zuora are making a good play instead of SAP BRIM solution for adaptability/user easiness.
It's more suited for beginners in the industry of using an ERP tool to understand. It’s helps also by saving time to do some transactions by having some automation. It also helps [with] the list of reports that it can provide. Unfortunately, it is really slow to load some tile and reports
