Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is currently the foundation for our finance and quickly becoming the foundation for our manufacturing. In my area we utilize the analytical capabilities of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Fiori to provide live reporting to our users and stake holders. For us SAP S/4HANA Cloud has resulted in the ability to run more reporting on live data and has resulted in cleaner data overall for reporting.

Usability

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is very intuitive for anyone has has previously worked in SAP and is even more intuitive than ECC for those who have not due to the Fiori first approach.

Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Data Lake Analytics

Using SAP for analytics instead of moving data out of the system allows you to leverage the metadata coming out of SAP and reduces duplication of work. The tight integration also results in less maintenance, faster response time and access to real time data.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a very good solution for large scale manufacturing with clean data. The system performs very well with large amounts of data when it is supplied with a good quality of data. SAP S/4HANA Cloud is very well suited to customers which are more used to web interfaces, use mobile devices or tablets. For smaller business or businesses in which the business process is not willing to compromise to business practices expected by SAP this solution may not be appropriate.
