• We use Trainual for internal training of new employees and to ensure that unique processes or procedures are rolled out efficiently across the company. Every department uses it for its own processes, and we have a few company-wide subjects as well.
• For us, Trainaul has fixed any issues regarding information transfer from whoever made a change to everyone that change effects. If anyone ever has a question about a process, there's a Trainual subject for that!
• It's also been beneficial for new employees in helping make sure that they all get the same level of introduction to their new role and new company.
• The ability to get very granular with detail.
• The ability to integrate different types of media for different kinds of learners.
Cons
• The layout for all subjects is very overwhelming, and I'd love to be able to sort into folders or buckets.
• I'd also like to be able to see all steps within ALL subjects in one area and be able to reorganize those with a simple drag and drop, instead of having to copy and paste text to move from one subject to another.
I think Trainual perfectly suited for onboarding! Love that it creates a polished product with minimal effort on the back end. I think it's less appropriate for any scenario where changes happen often. For example, if I had an employee process that changed every week (a system change, a new method, etc.), it wouldn't make sense to update the subject for that topic and make all employees re-visit it for just that one week. I think it's best used for processes that mostly stay the same for a significant period of time.

Trainual is currently being used as a resource database and training certification program for our field staff. For the most part, it is used for our entire field staff and our marketing department. It helps us have a uniform program that all business developers can go through to ensure they are speaking the same language when out selling. It's been an easy-to-use program to help make sure everyone is using the same marketing voice.
• Easy-to-use.
• User segmentation.
Cons
• Not a ton of template customization.
• Wish we could segment users even more.
This program is perfect if you have internal and external teams who need to speak the same language. It's a great tool to store all documents that both teams need, ensuring that everyone always has the most recent documents. It's incredibly easy to use, set-up, add users, and add content.

Very quick results after implementing

We use Trainual to document our processes. It has been very useful to ensure that we all do everything uniformly and can train employees. Since implementing Trainual we have been able to create a much better sales process and we have also seen an increase in sales. It also helped us with documenting our marketing efforts and training a new marketing assistant.
• Makes it easy to edit text
• Easily locate documentation
• Easy to add pdf's and videos to manuals
• Easy to create new topics and steps.
Cons
• Add more webinars for new users
• Create pdf's of helpful tips
• Customer success stories
We really liked Trainual at the time when we started developing a sales process. We recognized that we had to make things uniform across our company. We looked around at different options and we found Trainual to be the easiest to use and implement. Now we were able to hire a new sales person and train them quickly.

It is currently being used to train new employees and retain the current processes through all seasoned employees. It allows many team members to go back to the basics if they forget something. Bringing on new hires find it so much easier to get things started as if they have been part of the team for years
• Allows us to break up each session
• Add videos along with other links to each module
• Give everyone a secure login
• Makes use of the time people spend on it.
Cons
• Implementing type form style surveys.
• Live feedback when someone enters the portal.
We have offices set around the world, and hiring new team members in certain countries makes it a bit difficult, especially now to fly out or fly in to help get them situated and fully trained. This really helps close the gaps in between the distance and training. Makes onboarding a heck of a lot easier.

Great for growing organizations!

We used Trainual for about 2 years as a startup. It was primarily used within our Sales and Operations teams for onboarding new team members and continuing education for existing team members. Trainual was very helpful in being able to relay information that could be somewhat confusing if written out on paper or on a word doc into something that can be broken apart, given quality image and video examples, and spread out through a whole course. It caters to all types of learning styles such as visual and auditory learners.

One of the best parts of Trainual was the certificate program where users were awarded a "certificate of completion" when they completed a course. This made them feel a sense of accomplishment and for us as managers, gave us visibility on how long they spend doing the course, how many attempts they made to successfully pass the quiz at the end, and also let us know if they were skimming through the course without actually reading the content. I would definitely recommend this product if you have a growing organization and need a way to get learning out to a large group of people.
• Course Content
• Visibility of Completion
• Continuing Education
Cons
• More customization
• Reminders
The best situation is for onboarding and continuing education, scenarios where it wouldn't be a fit would be maybe a small update or a bulletin that can be gone over on a call. For onboarding, this is a life saver because it saves hours of a manager's time which in turn saves money, and gives a waterfall of information to the new hire in a short amount of time.
