Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work

We currently use 8x8 as our primary phone system for our office. We frequently use SMS capabilities and voicemail routing tools. We appreciate the ability to access our office phones from our physical desk phones, laptops, and headsets when away from our desks, as well as on our cell phones through the 8x8 app when we are away from the office. The only downside is that we cannot group text, but other than that, 8x8 is great!

Pros

  • Multiple ways in which to answer a call.
  • Ease of text messaging and review of past messages.
  • Voicemail routing.

Cons

  • The ease of setting up out of office or holiday phone schedules needs work.
  • Our ability to reach our clients not only through our work phone lines but also on our personal cell phones is superb.
  • The system being easy to use helps with employee onboarding.
I have had only one problem: remembering how to alter our phone schedule. All other things have been easy to access and use.

It is well suited for an active team that will need to take client calls from many different locations. It is not well suited for someone who relies on group texting.
