Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work
We thankfully started using 8x8 Work shortly before the pandemic hit. I am grateful we had it set up before all that chaos hit. I don't know what we would have done without it! We were able to seamlessly work from home with no problems whatsoever. It was amazing. None of our clients even knew we working from home. They were all able to communicate with our staff as they always did.
Pros
- Direct calls to the extensions.
- Callers were able to either talk to our individual staff members or leave a message.
- We loved having a record of every single call that came in for CRM purposes.
- We loved being able to collect our messages from the console.
Cons
- It could be just a tiny tad bit more user friendly.
- There could be slightly more support when first starting with 8x8 Work.
- It would be nice to have a real person show up and set things up and do a tutorial for the entire staff. I know that's not realistic but it would be nice.
- I would have, had to let my sickly employee (the one with long COVID) go and retrain someone else if we didn't have 8x8 Work. Although she was sick a good bit of the time, she was still a good worker and very productive. It takes months to train someone and it's very expensive, especially if you hire someone and they don't work out. I was glad I didn't have to do that.
- I was able to take calls on the run, wherever I was. This made me more efficient! I was able to get more work done every day. It shortened my workday and made my family happy. You can't put a price on that.
- We had a number of sales that were consummated due to the fact that we had real people answering our phones. We were perceived as being a very service conscious business. There was rarely any lag time in trying to reach us. We were complimented on this many times.
