Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work

I have been using 8x8 Work for over four years now, and as a Unified Communications product, it is one of the best available. It is easy to deploy, whether you are using the desktop application or the web-based client. The calling quality is excellent. It provides end users with a well-designed interface that encompasses phone calls, meetings, and chats. The visual voicemail is great with transcription. It also allows end users to alter their call forwarding rules at the touch of a button. The best thing it has helped resolve is flexible working. Any user can be accessible on the go or while working from home. The mobile app is also an excellent addition for the Sales team, which is constantly on the move.

Cons

  • Click to dial for the web based client.
  • The ability to have specific contact lists that can be shared with certain teams only.
  • Group voicemail notification to show once a voicemail has been listened to by another member of the team.
  • No longer have to pay for software assurance support annually.
  • My IT team spends less time on telephone-related issues, which means they can focus on improving other business systems.
  • Sales Team productivity has risen, as many calls can be handled while on the move, rather than requiring an office presence.
I have had no bad complaints regarding 8x8 Work from any of my Users. They find 8x8 a breath of fresh air compared to the clunky interface of the client we used on our previous on-premises PBX. The fact that Users no longer have to wait for a VPN to connect back to the office before they can start using their phone is brilliant. Users can now work from almost any location without issues.
8x8 Work offers all we need in an easy-to-use format. Zoom seemed to have too many features that are not required and can be overwhelming to Users who are not the most Tech-Savvy. The price point of 8x8 is great, too. Get everything we need at a low cost.

I believe that 8x8 Work is well-suited for any organization, whether it employs 1-2 users or thousands. It is so easy to deploy and use. We are mainly a MS Teams house, and we want our Users to use this for Meetings and Chats. The fact that 8x8 has the flexibility to disable this within the client, so that it forces our users to continue working in Teams for meetings and chats, and then use the phone element in 8x8 Work, is brilliant. Our company finds it extremely easy to use, and the fact that we have different departments using it, with each department having the ability to change their outbound CLI to reflect the area of the business they are calling from, is excellent.
