Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak
It is currently being used to track the productivity of our remote employees. We have many [employees] across the country and [we] need to ensure they are being productive, and performing their assigned duties.
Pros
- Detailed....lets you know everything that is going on.
- Easy to use, web based, doesn't take up space on your network.
- Manageable from anywhere, makes things very easy.
Cons
- Automatically adding new users to be tracked shouldn't be the default.
- I'd like to see Team Pulse as the default page after log in.
- Menu navigation could be a bit easier.
- Keeping track of employees.
- Making sure employees remain productive.
- Because it isn't detectable, keeps employees honest.
- Easy to use, with all I have to do, not having to take extended time to learn something new is a big plus.
- Very detailed activity reports, leaves no doubt as to what employees are doing.
- Web based, no local install needed.
Employees are not aware they are being tracked, but it has helped us to confirm that our remote employees are indeed performing their duties in a efficient manner.
It has allowed us to see what they are accomplishing during their workday and it has provided detailed analysis on everything they are doing.

Obviously when managing a remote workforce by conventional means, it is difficult to know 100% what they are accomplishing. Using this system leaves no doubt and can help with employees who need improvement, because we know exactly what they are doing.
ActivTrak is the first product I evaluated, and based on that evaluation, I chose it. I didn't feel the need to evaluate other products because it does exactly what I needed it to do, so I didn't feel the need to explore other options. Functionality and price point were both what I needed. Why go further?
