Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak

We have a hybrid environment for a few departments so we use ActivTrak to track their productivity on their work-from-home days. It provides a clear analysis between the productive vs non-productive times during their work days. The screenshots also help us ensure our employees are actually working rather than just jiggling their mouse to stay on productive. I also appreciate the classification feature since it's a quick way to see any potentially unproductive sites.
  • Website classifications
  • Computer screenshots
  • Customizable configuration
  • Alerts for when someone is not working during scheduled hours (although this may already exist and we don't utilize it as I know the alarm feature is pretty comprehensive)
  • Because of our IT configurations, a lot of weird "groups" show up on the dashboard which looks a bit confusing
  • Not having to create a group for 1 employee to see their own data, just allow each user to see their own data once their access account is created
  • We haven't seen a direct ROI in terms of increasing productivity, but it has allowed us to feel comfortable allowing employees to work from home which in turn improved our retention

I don't think it's increased productivity per se, but it does confirm that our team members are staying productive when working from home or even on the days they work in the office. It also acts as an early warning system if an employee has a very unproductive day so that we can quickly take action to see what the problem is.
Our employees on ActivTrak seem to have a balance during their work weeks, i.e not seeing too much of a burnout risk naturally so there was no need for management to get involved with our employees' balance once we gain data insights. However, it has certainly increased employee satisfaction as this software allows our employees to work from home 2 days per week.
We use ActivTrak for only a few people spread across 2 departments and I wouldn't say we've seen much of an impact attributed purely to the software. We use it more on an HR side to validate working hours on remote days rather than using it to optimize workflows. Our marketing team and revenue management team have the work from home options and we have other apps to structure their projects/workflows so ActivTrak is not one we lean on for that.

Do you think ActivTrak delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ActivTrak's feature set?

Yes

Did ActivTrak live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ActivTrak go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ActivTrak again?

Yes

We have a hybrid environment for a few departments so we use ActivTrak to track their productivity on their work-from-home days and it provides a clear analysis between the productive vs non-productive times during their work days. We have less than 10 people that we monitor so I'm not sure how well-suited the system is or if there are any better options for larger companies. It certainly suits our needs though.
