Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak

We put ActivTrak in place at our company as a tool to be able to see if someone is struggling with their productivity. We were lucky that this was in place when our entire company began working from home. It has made it so that we are able to feel comfortable with people working at home. I produce a report just showing the average productive hours for each employee each month. We use the tool to be able to support our staff better and find any outliers who may not be the right fit for our company.
  • Able to see what people are spending their time on.
  • Can decide ourselves what is productive or not productive time.
  • Tracks working hours so that we know when their work day begins and ends.
  • Would like to be able to create our own reports without having to extract data (easier).
  • Would like some additional alerts that we could base on activity.
  • Sometimes Google is listed if they searched with it instead of the site they are on. Too many items are lumped into Google.
  • Have been able to let an employee go due to activities faster than we would have found otherwise.
  • Has helped our users see times of days that they are less productive.
This was the only product that we evaluated. It did what we needed, so there was no need for us to look elsewhere.

ActivTrak is great for making sure that people are actually working when working from home. It also helps to quickly find the people who are probably not a good fit for our culture. They are not putting in the same effort as other members of their team. For example, we are a sales-driven organization and we found a user who was setting up a Zoom meeting with only themselves so that it looked like they were working when they were not.

ActivTrak Support

We have always had support when we needed it. We have reached out to them a few times and they have also reached out to us to see how well things are going for us. Better support than we have had on some other products that we use.

Using ActivTrak

It is pretty easy to use once you learn it. In the beginning we did need to put in some time figuring out how to get the specific stats we were looking for. We also spend some time making sure the correct tools and websites were coded as productivity. Like with many products, you need to learn about it and then it is user friendly
