Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Analytics

I use it in a consultant capacity for clients, who use Adobe Analytics to track multiple web estates, either because they're part of the Adobe suite or they want to use something outside of Google Analytics, or because they want to track more steps than just their website. I'll use the data they have and recommend them to collect additional data to play insights back to the client in the scope of recommending CRO / UX improvements to the website based on behaviour observed

Pros

  • Customisable dashboards
  • Real time reporting
  • No limits to dimensions and events

Cons

  • In my opinion, it's not that friendly to use / there's a steeper learning curve than GA4
  • In my opinion, the UI isn't great, it's fiddly, and you have to SAVE your reports which even I forget to do
  • I think it's more complex to implement
  • I think it's expensive, when there's free alternatives
  • Like any analytics tool, it helps clients understand more about on-site behaviour to make changes that impacts conversion rate positively
  • It can get clients more involved if there are good dashboards built for them to review, which this allows easily
That's usually the client's decision
When I talk to clients about their Adobe setup I always make sure that they're tracking everything they can, that they've correctly defined their conversions, all with the RIGHT naming convention - I've seen totally inaccessible naming conventions SO many times that require cheatsheets and hours of calls, which again factors into that learning curve for newer staff members or staff that aren't as analytical but need insights.
You need to save reports manually, and, in my opinion, the UI is quite clunky, and metrics can be named poorly which the UI doesn't help clarify or help with selection
Clients usually select Adobe Analytics because it suits them better than the alternatives and they want more customisation than GA4 offers. Also because they might be with Adobe Experience Cloud for a few other things like tag management, A/B testing, audience manager, campaign etc

Do you think Adobe Analytics delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Analytics's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Analytics live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Analytics go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Analytics again?

Yes

It can have more depth to data if implemented right, but it's also trickier to use than others
