Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Analytics

We use Adobe Analytics to provide an understanding of visits to the website, the sales flow, and conversions for trading. We also use it for our product analytics, to understand customers needs on site and how they engage with our pre, booking and post booking phases. We have a team of about 10 people who use Adobe Analytics regularly and the insights are shared across the organisation.

Pros

  • Sales Conversion
  • Journeys of a customer during their visit
  • Identifying issues with the website and CX

Cons

  • Visit stitching, and joining up customers
  • Limited evars
  • Activity Map in WebSDK is very difficult to use
  • Better conversion through each selling funnel
  • Identifying areas on site where there are likely bugs
  • Alerting issues in the key funnels, that may have slipped other slightly more real time data
It's better than Google Analytics, and is crucial for understanding how the site is performing and the success of new features through either experimentation or new releases
I configure reports in a way that enables stakeholders to easily see key performance numbers, whilst at the same time enabling some self serve through filters and time/date sliders.
Mostly very easy to use, the drag and drop is great and allows quick learning of the basics. The key issue for difficulty is understanding which evars, events etc to use and the value that they will display.

Even most complex features are relatively simple to work out.
It is much quicker to get to a basic level of understanding with Analytics, however Analytics knowledge provides a good start for understanding how to build segments in AEP.

Do you think Adobe Analytics delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Analytics's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Analytics live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Analytics go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Analytics again?

Yes

It is a mostly good product, which is very easy to use. The visualisations out the box are simple, and convey most of what the stakeholders need to know about the performance.

It struggles when the analysis needed is slightly more complex. It has also got more tricky since opt out for cookies has become much easier, degrading the usefulness of our numbers. Any sort of link with our opt in rate to make estimates on true volume would be useful.
