Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Illustrator CC

I use Adobe Illustrator CC as my primary design software. I always start my photographic based elements in Photoshop but always move over to Adobe Illustrator CC for any kind of copy, text, and illustrative vector work. I have used Adobe Illustrator CC personally for years as an Illustrator and as a Graphic Designer, it is by far my most prized software. It is constantly updating and becoming more and more user friendly.

  • Easy to use tools
  • Helpful guides and how too
  • The interplay between Adobe products continues to improve
  • Fonts being vector and the ability to manipulate
  • Recolor Artwork
  • Pattern Maker
  • Negative. It's quite pricey, but I understand why.
  • Positive. It is a fabulous tool.
I know a lot of designers that like to work in Photoshop, when text is involved I prefer Adobe Illustrator CC. You can outline your text and kern and correct there, it is crisp and easy. I would rather push vector points than pixels. I also really appreciate the multiple boards so I can build a large campaign and not lose scoop of the project, seeing it all together in one place. Exporting all of the artboards is also easy and can be exported as many different file types.

This program is absolutely jam-packed with amazing features. Whether you are an illustrator, designer, or other creative the sky is the limit with this program. You are able to quickly and easily load photographs, sketches, vectors into Adobe Illustrator CC and begin to manipulate. There is cross over into Ps so that it can be altered there and imported into Adobe Illustrator CC, which is seamless and awesome. One of my favourite features in Adobe Illustrator CC is the pattern creator that is legit fire. It saves a surface designer so much time and energy.
