Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use ADP Essential Time and Attendance system to process payroll and Human Capital Management for our benefit needs and 401k Retirement Services.

Pros

  • The 401k Retirement Service is great. They have a great support system.
  • Tax filing services.

Cons

  • Payroll customer service.
  • Better communication between the payroll and benefit products.
  • Having ADP file our taxes has had a positive impact on reducing fines and interest for late filings.
ADP products have changed significantly in the 20+ years. However, many times when there is an "upgrade" the account managers have not been fully trained on the changes and when you call about an issue they don't know how to handle it.
  • GL Interface
We use the GL interface, which at times I have found it difficult to update GL numbers or add deduction codes. There is no real guide for doing so. It's very confusing.
ADP has better reporting capabilities than Ceridian and is more user-friendly. Paylocity seems to have the same payroll and T&A products but I have only seen a demo of the products.
I think overall, ADP provides what most businesses need. However, customer service has always been an issue. There's a saying if you call ADP three times and ask the same question, you'll get three different answers.
