Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

ADP is being used company wide. We decided to change to ADP to streamline our employees online experience and house everything on one website for them.
  • Easy to apply
  • Allows us to do online status changes
  • Control over payroll
  • The attendance tracking system
  • Rolled out in pieces instead of as a holistic product
  • The app is EXTREMELY limited. We have to direct people to the website.
  • Can't send push notifications to individual or specific groups of employees
  • Training on the site is mostly just watching videos and figuring it out on your own
  • Practitioner view of status changes is limited
  • Easier to apply, more applicants
Have not used this feature.
  • Wisely- Pay Cards
  • Payactiv- Payday Advance
  • Upgraded Points System
We are in the process of integrating the points and payday advance. Wisely has been implemented. The implementation proces is fairly easy.

Are you happy with ADP Workforce Now's feature set?

Yes

Did ADP Workforce Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of ADP Workforce Now go as expected?

No

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

Yes

Most of our implementation team was really on top of everything, but there was one person who everything they had a hand it was messed up and a nightmare to fix.
Our implementation team only spoke ADP, if you are trying to explain how you've done something previously and don't use the exact ADP lingo (which you don't know since you're brand new to ADP) they will have no idea what you're talking about.
It also seemed like they were not used to working with manufacturing companies... for example, explaining that we have 3 shifts and run 24/7 was far more challenging than it should have been.
ADP seems well suited to white collar industries where managers are the ones making all of the decisions for employees and HR is more of a manager support function. ADP gives managers a lot of oversite. In industries with high turnover, or where HR is responsible for most of the recruiting, onboarding, maintenance, and termination of employees it may not be as appropriate.

ADP Workforce Now Implementation

More focused on getting payroll running so they get paid than on how having an incomplete website will affect employees.
Yes - Payroll
Everything else
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
  • Implementation Team only understanding ADP lingo- unable to bridge gap between the language you used to use and what's in ADP
  • Trying to get payroll going (get paid) instead of having a holistic product all set up for employees at rollout. Did not seem concerned with our employee's experience with the product, only with getting paid for running payroll.
  • Limited ability to upload personnel data into ADP. Requires a lot of manual labor.
