Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

Used for payroll processing for 3 company codes, onboarding new hires, terminations, reporting, employee self-service for benefit enrollments and life event changes, office staff timecards, and timeclocks for warehouse staff. Performance reviews and some training.

Pros

  • Payroll processing and tax setup.
  • Reporting structure to customize employer needs.
  • Registration for employee self service.
  • Connection files for benefit offerings.

Cons

  • Onboarding: Employers need the ability to (customize)required fields for employee data in the onboarding template. Too much time is wasted gathering data from employees after they are hired.
  • Home page customization-give employers the ability to customize the banners and colors to create the home page for their company.
  • More extensive training is needed for implementation and support specialists BEFORE rolling out new modules to customers. We rely on knowledgeable staff to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Positive: Using electronic versions of anything saves the company time and money.
  • Positive: Ability to use reporting to obtain any information needed for all departments.
Not always as flexible as we would like when it comes to security/permissions.
  • Carrier connections for benefit plans.
  • We used an outside vendor for ATS/onboarding that did not integrate as well as described. We've since gone with ADP for onboarding.
Carrier connections take at least 12 weeks and a bit of work on our side to make sure all fields are entered correctly but once that is done the connections run smoothly.
The onboarding was presented to us as integrating with ADP, they were more advanced in the process than ADP's onboarding but didn't really integrate to the level of ease we would have liked. After two years, we used ADP only for onboarding.

Speaking strictly on the onboarding support, it takes several days before I receive a resolution or suggestion to troubleshoot. Oftentimes, I resolve the issue before I hear back from them. Very frustrating that my time is spent on these issues.
They strive to be an all-in-one system eliminating the need to use several vendors to accomplish the goals of the company.
