Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I heavily use it to create elearning products for learners. Even starting to make presentations with it.

Pros

  • Advanced tiggers and variables
  • The option to compress video files or not
  • Freeform interactions

Cons

  • State changes can be buggy. A lot of times I have to turn a state change transparent or original delete images still show up.
  • Support Alpha Channel Video!!!!
  • I’d love more advanced editing for video and audio within storyline. Would save me time going back to Adobe to make tweaks
  • Mute variables that control single objects.
  • Increase in learner retention because of interaction
  • Speed to production
Unfortunately my company has blocked Assistant :( we do use Rise, and I WISH I could use reach!!! I hate our LMS. But it’s an enterprise decision.
Like I said prior, I haven’t been able to use the assistant. My company has restriction against AI, the features aren’t even available on my programs. My company isn’t pushing updates :(
It’s incredibly intuitive for me, most things I can figure out on my own.

Wayyyyyyy better than captivate, interactions are more stable than captivate classic. Captivate new, is just a less customizable Rise.

Using Articulate 360

100 - We are a de-centralized learning learning org although a majority of our learning teams use Articulate 360. We run ILT, Blended learning, and have primarily eLearning based trainings throughout our company and Articulate is a strong tool for so many functions than its primary design if you think out side the box.
5 - We have a wide range of users. Some I would say are more beginners and others have more advanced abilities. Articulate is a tool that can be used by a wide range of users.

  • I’ve been able to develop “apps” using articulate by changing the sizing of my slide to custom sizing.

Evaluating Articulate 360 and Competitors

I have no complaints about the evaluation of the product. However 30 days doesn’t give you a lot of time to truly evaluate the product.

Articulate 360 Implementation

  • Implemented in-house
Not sure - I will say most designers at my company fail to stay up to date on latest updates, upskilling in what’s possible within articulate.
  • Some of our designers do get overwhelmed and understanding the more advanced features (including master slides)

Articulate 360 Support

Still a lot of functions that have been backlogged for a LONG time and creative work around required.

  • Some of the advanced triggering around the ands/ors/else conditions get very difficult and students I’ve worked with do struggle with this.
