Overall Satisfaction

I am currently using Asana to track developer and engineering tasks. It's been helpful in keeping these two team focus on day to day tasks.
  • I like the ability to create multiple projects and manage who has access to those projects. This allows me to setup client projects so I can assign my team members tasks and my customers tasks and my customer won't see the tasks assigned to my team.
  • I really like the comments feature. You are able to track all the updates for a particular task in one spot.
  • My biggest issue with Asana is there is no easy way to see the status of tasks. Right now I am using the tag feature to mark if a task is in progress, has a roadblock issue, is on hold, etc. It would be nice to see a drop down or other trigger where you can report on tasks status.
  • Helped provide better customer service as our customers where able to access ASANA and clearly see where tasks where at for their projects.
I selected ASANA because of the ability to separate projects and manager the users of those projects. It was important to me to allow my customers to see and manage their tasks for a given project without them seeing the internal tasks from our development team for the same project.
I have switched companys, and they are moving toward utilizing SharePoint Enterprise services.
I think Asana is helpful to with Small projects across multiple departments, as a punch list and agile development tasks. I don't feel if would be a good tool for large scale project management.
