Overall Satisfaction with Asana

We used Asana in collaboration with another agency on an event campaign for a Fortune 500 client. It enabled us to timeline out the project, share with the wider team and list to-dos. It worked well as the project was a rush so we were able to highlight key areas that needed addressing quickly by the client.

  • I like the drag/drop feature, and simplicity of using the tool.

  • You're able to see the big picture of what we need to accomplish, but not a great collaborating tool if the team is remote.
  • I found it tricky to sign-up and get set up in the tool.
  • Enabled us to manage a rush project across multiple agencies.
  • Great timeline management and identified holes in the project that we needed to address.
Great tool for high-level project management and seeing the big picture. Not so great if you're an organization that's remote and needs to collaborate in the tool/share documents/manage finance process etc. This isn't a full-service project management tool. It's also great for sharing directly with clients, and very easy to do a set up that's simple to adjust in the moment (i.e. during client meetings).
I haven't had to use the support for Asana yet!
The other agency we were working with selected Asana as it's a tool with easy access. Other more broad project management tools require contracts and setup time, this is easy to create an account and login to. We used it for one project and it helped give a full picture of the project.
Asana is great for high-level timelines and sharing with clients. It gives a great snapshot of everything we need to achieve or have already completed. I wouldn't describe the tool as full-service as I couldn't really collaborate in it or work on risks/opportunities. However, it is great for sharing directly with clients. For this reason, I would recommend it.
