Overall Satisfaction with Atera
I use Atera to monitor critical services running on my servers. I'm able to be notified when the services stop running and attempt to restart them. It's used for remote access to remote workers and for patch management.
- Service monitoring
- Remote Access
- Remote command prompt
- Patch Management is somewhat confusing
- More information on the device page about the device
- Being able to resolve issues from my desk has saved hours of my time
- Being alerted to a service that stopped running prevented extended downtime.
I've previously used Kaseya. Kaseya has a lot of options that are aimed toward MSPs that I don't need just monitoring an internal IT department. The cost difference is huge between Kaseya and Atera also. Being able to just license based on the techs using Atera as opposed to the number of endpoints was huge for me.
Setup has been easy. It's very intuitive on setting up parameters to monitor and alert on. On the dashboard page, I'm able to get a list of the open alerts and see what is going on with my devices.
I don't have any need for the PSA and billing sections. Having everything else in one place makes it easy to diagnose and resolve issues as they come in.
