Overall Satisfaction with Basecamp
At the company level, Basecamp serves as primarily as an information hub. We are starting to implement more project management processes with tasks and project boards. At the department level, Basecamp is our project management tool in Marketing. We track projects and tasks, share information, and manage reviews. We also use Basecamp to project manage and share information with external agencies.
- Information sharing and communication
- Simple user interface

- More sophistication in organization
- More tools/widgets within project boards
- Add resource management
- (Positive) We're more efficiently communicating and documenting strategy.
- (Positive) We're more efficiently sharing internal information.
- (Positive) We're using Basecamp to communicate details that used to require meetings.
Workfront was way too robust for our team to manage, while Basecamp is very easy for any user to set up and does not require lengthy training sessions. Communication within Basecamp (at the project or company level) is much easier to facilitate than in Workfront or Trello. Basecamp organization of projects and teams are more easily visible.
