Review of BigCommerce
Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
Bigcommerce is used across our entire organization with expansion into the US and Canadian market planned for later this year. Allows us to easily take orders from any of our wholesale customers once they have signed up.
Pros
- Speed: One of the fastest loading sites I've had the pleasure of working with.
- Ease: from setup to UX, BigCommerce has a very easy to use system & great UX.
- Tracking sales: Allows us to have a dashboard of our day/week/month.
Cons
- Needs improved theme templates with more options. Compared to WordPress & WooCommerce, BigCommerce is lacking in this area.
- Easier customization without a dev.
- There are some things that come standard on other websites like Shopify but BigCommerce does not have without user customization like a decent customized menu.
- Speed of site has impressed our customers. Coming from a custom solution & this is way better.
- Marketing options have increased total order size.
- Was able to reduce our customer service team by half based on ease of site use for the customers.
$100,000 to $500,000
We have planned integration between our back end system and BigCommerce which is currently in testing. This will allow us to transfer orders, customers & inventory between our backend system and BigCommerce. You will need a dev team or an on hand developer in order to do any API customization.
From a B2B perspective, BigCommerce wins when compared to any other competitor. The functionality you get for the pro package vs any other platform is astounding. When pricing out Shopify the comparable solution would cost us close to 2000 CAD a month vs BigCommerce $79 pro package. It's a no brainier.
