Use Cases and Deployment Scope

BigCommerce has allowed us to implement a robust and feature-rich website with incredible ease of use. Best of all, it doesn't have a steep learning curve, allowing employees of many backgrounds to use and maintain our website.

Scalability

We use Bigcommerce as our primary website that includes e-commerce, which is connected to our shipping and order/entry software. They allow for seamless communication back and forth.

BigCommerce Customization

We use the API with our CMS system, to upload product changes to the website. There are some hidden gems in Bigcommerce that are easy to do through the API, like setting up related products across 1,000's of products.

Alternatives Considered

Shopify

Bigcommerce in my opinion is tailored well to larger businesses that need a lot of product display flexibility. Shopify could be considered the leader, but we found it too restrictive for our needs.

Likelihood to Recommend

Our business is geared towards the biotechnology community. Most of these platforms focus strictly on businesses selling clothing or electronics - however, BigCommerce was the one platform in this arena that enabled us to present our products in a [way] to educate first and then sell.

BigCommerce is really worth it!
