Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud eTapestry

We previously used Blackbaud eTapestry as our donor CRM - recording donation activity to help inform future fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship plans. I believe we also used a related product for some of our payment processing.

  • Lack of intuitive software negatively impacted our ability to steward donors
  • Overly expensive product negatively impacted our bottom line
  • Opportunity cost - we spent a lot of time switching CRMs away from eTapestry
Every system I've seen is cheaper and more intuitive than eTapestry. As soon as I could switch away from eTapestry, I did, and I will never use it again.

This product is expensive, hard to follow, and the reporting is awful. Smaller nonprofits would be better served by any number of competitors, or by a simple Excel sheet. Larger nonprofits would be better served by a more customizable product like Salesforce.
