Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
We use BrowserStack for cross-browser testing and testing on mobile devices which we don't have easy access to. Being able to test on real devices (and not simulated) allows us to accurately find JS/CSS and layout bugs within our web applications. This saves us both time and money as we don't need to buy actual real devices to test our web apps on.
Pros
- Fast and Easy one-click start to begin testing
- Reliable testing environments with real devices
- Useful throttle network features to simulate slower connections
Cons
- A native BrowserStack app for iPad would be helpful for testing when not at my computer
- Tighter integration with GitHub - e.g. Automated posting screenshots from BrowserStack to each Pull Request as a comment.
- Cross-browser and mobile device live testing
- Fast screenshot testing on multiple browsers
- SpeedLab is great for testing performance on different browsers/devices
- Cross-browser testing has saved money on buying real devices (no need to buy a Mac just to test sites in Safari!)
- Being able to quickly get screenshots of a webpage in multiple browsers has improved developer productivity by saving time
We've used BrowserStack for screenshots and testing and it's enabled me to catch CSS bugs early in the development process - before changes go to QA! This has saved us time and improved productivity.
