Buffer is one of [the tools] used in our marketing department. I find Buffer very useful in terms of management of social media accounts. Various features are excellent like scheduling posts, multiple accounts at one place, analytics, I recommend paid use as it offers more features as competitive to free one. Integration is easy, you can use multiple social media accounts at one place.
- Buffer allows you to monitor multiple social media accounts and also offers detailed analysis of how your posts are performing.
- Chrome extension of buffer is really helpful.
- It also offers best time to schedule your posts.
- It would be better if it allows monitoring for mentions and polling.
- The images crashed sometimes when posted via scheduling with Buffer.
- The paid version is bit costly.
- It allows you to know your performance as well as provide you entire analytics so that you are able to take better decisions and improve what went wrong.

The only difference which I feel between the two is Buffer is [more] focused on pre-scheduling and Hootsuite is a advanced version of Buffer you can say it allows you full -fledged version of features to monitor social media accounts.
