Overall Satisfaction with CaptivateIQ

We use CaptivateIQ for our Sales Commissions software in order to track commissionable payouts for revenue arrangements. This helps us track commissions by period/employee/revenue opportunity/date and many more important key factors. CaptivateIQ provides us with a user-friendly system that allows information to be portrayed in a manner that is convenient and easy to digest for those outside of the department. During our monthly approval meeting with the CFO, CaptivateIQ allows us to generate a workbook full of processed reports that are easy to comprehend for those outside of the direct accounting department. This assists with our day-to-day procedures all the way to our monthly/quarterly/yearly SOX compliance controls.
  • User-friendly reporting. This is extremely helpful in conveying information to those outside of accounting in order to digest and understand what is occurring/impacting different areas of the business.
  • Financial reporting tools for SOX/SEC compliance, such as the newly designed and implemented audit log. The CaptivateIQ team we work with is very personable and eager to advance our system to meet any new needs that may arise. This is the most recent instance of an upgrade and went extremely smooth, and we already see improvements.
  • Accessibility to specific details that may need to be divulged to higher-ups for purposes of financial forecasting or ensuring we remain in line with our business objectives established early in the year.
  • SOX Compliance in the general sense for new and improving audit areas of concern. This ranges across all aspects of completeness and accuracy for our commissions reporting team, as what we do day-to-day directly impacts hundreds of sales representatives.
  • Preventing circular references from being created, as we've been discovering that these exist and can become embedded below levels of new data/workbooks/data connectors. Preventing these from entering the system from the beginning would be a huge advancement in ensuring these retroactive measures don't need to be taken (as frequently).
  • Tools to help identify and resolve issues that may arise, as it is currently set up to be a bit more of a comb-through type of software. We now have to find broken references or bad formulas manually, whereas an instance that could assist in detecting and correcting these would be extremely useful.

  • Increased efficiency of Commissions department overall, as we have a total of 13 plans for sales reps for which CaptivateIQ allows us to efficiently export period totals necessary for completing month-end/quarter-end tasks (i.e., calculating current period commissions, tracking delayed payouts, grouping employees by Payroll ID to aggregate individual's payouts).
  • Eliminated certain audit concern areas due to SOC report, such as the development team at CaptivateIQ assisting us by creating an audit log report for our change management controls.
  • Automated large-scale processes that were previously done manually, such as acquiring approval for manual adjustments made directly within the system, and have eliminated the need to keep external workbooks/sheets to track or perform one-off tasks.
CaptivateIQ has a strong foundation of employees with a firm understanding of how a SAAS company operates and what needs must be met in order to ensure a healthy partnership. Their willingness to make time to address concerns or answer questions, all the way to their innovative team working on developing new tools to be implemented. Due to a great working relationship and years of partnering together, CaptivateIQ meets our needs.

It's extremely proficient in providing clear and concise information detail that is pertinent for specific tasks involved in month-end processes. Furthermore, CaptivateIQ provides a clear access channel to assigned representatives who oversee your company specifically to address any problems or discuss potential modifications to be made for implementation from the user side.
