We you CaptivateIQ for Multiple Commissions schemes for a scaling company with a team of Sales SDRs and Partner managers etc
We use it to calculate the correct expensing based on ASC606 Expensing guidelines
we use it to motivate the users by forecasting them their commissions' outcomes based on deal-flow forecasting synced from Salesforce
We also have Netsuite integrated into Captivate to calculate commissions schemes based on actual invoicing

Spiff is supposed to be similar. i chose Captivate because of several reasons:
1-Pricing was much cheaper.
2-it looked a bit easier to implement back then to me
3- I felt that their ASC606 solution is more mature in "look and feel" compare to Spiff
XACTLY was much more expensive. I felt it is adequate to Enterprises than start-ups
