Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AnyConnect
Cisco AnyConnect is used by the entire organization. Cisco AnyConnect provides VPN access to internal network and internal resources including applications, databases, etc. On any given day we have ~1700 users connected via Cisco AnyConnect. It has played a vital role especially during the pandemic, allowing users to work from home with ease.
- Allows users to connect to internal resources
- Highly configurable, which allows the organization choose how to deploy and what settings are made available to the users.
- Cisco AnyConnect works for Windows and Mac computers, which covers most organizations
- Secure for any type of organization
- From a technical background, I can't say there are many areas for improvement.
- It's always worked extremely well in terms of reliability
- During the pandemic especially has proven to pay for itself in terms of reliability
- Users find this extremely easy to use
Security is first and foremost the talking point I can't say enough good things about Cisco AnyConnect. Whether the organization requires simple authentication to heavily secure PKI, it fits the scope for any organization. Just finished setting up PKI authentication with Cisco AnyConnect, found that pushing the profiles through Cisco on Windows or Mac has been proven to be successful and secure.
I've tried other VPN services in the past, actually use OpenVPN with another company. I am not a huge advocate of using other VPN products because I've worked with Cisco AnyConnect for so many years. Its been a solid and reputable VPN that I would recommend to any organization looking for reliability.
