Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark)
We use Webex Teams for chat and collaboration across our entire organization as well as the primary proximity tool for our room systems in our conference rooms. It has greatly enhanced our ability to collaborate and we use both the one-to-one chat functionality as well as Teams Spaces for our different teams and projects. Webex Teams has made it much easier to share documents and materials in projects and not having multiple versions of documents or getting external resources access to our internal systems. The Webex Teams desktop app has also eliminated the need for computers in our conference and meeting rooms to provide the capability of using proximity to control the room systems and the ability to screen share from our laptops.
Pros
- Cisco Proximity and Room System Control
- Chat/Instant Messaging
- Teams Spaces for Team or Project Collaboration
Cons
- There still seem to be issues with basic statistics and reporting in Control Hub
- Control Hub limitations require some creative work arounds for some calling and meetings features
- Webex Teams has allowed us to offer more cost effective meeting and calling options to small customer in our rural market
- Webex Teams has enhanced our internal collaboration with Teams Spaces and room control through the desktop app
Microsoft Teams is very similar to Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark) as far how the spaces are setup and the online meetings, however, it is not nearly as good at the calling functionality as it relies on the Skype platform. Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark) has a much better calling platform with much more in-depth PBX type features such as auto-attendant and call flow creation. It also more easily integrates with existing Cisco Call Manager deployments. File sharing and whiteboarding also has a better feel and is more user-friendly in Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark).
