Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We use ClickUp as a project management software. We communicate and collaborate on different tasks and projects within our organization. Employees are assigned a folder by department within ClickUp and then we collaborate on the tasks to get them complete. We are a small start-up company with many little tasks and projects that need to be dealt with which is why we use ClickUp to help us determine who is working on what and what is being accomplished.
  • Custom fields (using ClickUp's templates and creating your own custom fields).
  • Tags (tagging people on tasks and subtasks).
  • Automations (The automation feature is extremely helpful for list repeatability).
  • Views (I only use List, Board, and Calendar).
  • Dependencies (requiring different tasks to become before others).
  • Microsoft Suite (ClickUp has some capabilities to synch with Google Applications, but Microsoft applications are poor. Is there a way for there to be a two-way synch related to Outlook Calendar and Word documents?) I know that there is some capability with Excel but it is limited.
  • Linking the "Calendar" on the "Home" Page to Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
  • Meetings (I have tried to run meetings in ClickUp by creating a dashboard, task, document but they all have limitations and advantages. ClickUp could make a section just for people to have meetings.
  • ClickUp Search Capability - Frequently I forget the name of the task it is difficult to locate.
  • Maintenance and repair tracking and completion.
  • Onboarding for new employees.
  • Training courses focused on safety and examinations.
  • Goal Planning and execution.
  • Metrics related to task productivity and tracking employee activity.
We have been entering a lot of tasks into ClickUp but we have fallen short on keeping people accountable. This is more a leadership and management concern based on my business, but I feel that it is important to address that the employees are only as productive as the employee managing them. I would love a training seminar or weekly webinar to help employees learn how to operate the application better and learn new features as they are released.
Our company uses ClickUp, OutLook Sweet, Service Autopilot, and QBO. ClickUp does not do the best job working with these applications but we have been really enjoying using ClickUp.
We did not like the layout of Asana and it became so cluttered that we couldn't find anything. It was more of a storage place that no one used to manage tasks. We also used Slack but it became confusing to know when we should be emailing, texting, or Slacking. We started using ClickUp in 2021.

ClickUp has a lot of capabilities to collaborate as a team. The interface is easy to use and it allows people to work together regardless of their technical skill level. I do have to say that it took some time for our team to figure out the best way to adapt and set up the Spaces, Folders, Tasks, and Subtasks. I watched a lot of videos from Layla at ProcessDriven which helped me understand the basics and how the best ways to use the applications.
