Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We tried using ClickUp as we started to roll out new products and processes. We played with ClickUp as well as Trello, Mrio, and Monday. A lot of the team liked ClickUp but we started to find the notifications and the trigger builds not as intuitive as other systems. CTO preferred the notification process of another system so we went another way. It was a Happy to Glad choice.
Pros
- Knowledge Management
- Project and Data Visualization
- Project Timelines
Cons
- Too many functions, hard to grasp
- Simplify the process
- Lacks good sales integration
- Helped us get organized
- Gave us a framework from to build on
- Highlighted how we needed to collaborate between teams.
It helped a little but we with all the other collaborative tools we used it became one more thing. It is always secondary to SLACK or JURA. Having to look between multiple strings became confusing. It mapped things out well but adoption became difficult.
We started using it early in product development, became slightly over whelming. If external team members were not using it we could not integrate and notify them. It was always one more step to make sure everyone was sync'd up. A larger team it may work better for but we were smaller than most.
We ended up going with another so for us it was #2 on the final decision. We found the automations easier with one of the other systems.
