Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use it in two ways - for Product Development, to report tickets, see the status of tickets, comment and collaborate on features and bug fixes. And for Project management - that's where we store our OKR projects (in lists), and also we have ClickUp lists for meeting Agendas. Basically, for all kinds of tasks and to-do tracking, we use ClickUp in some way. Part of the people use it a lot, part of us only use 1 or 2 features.
Pros
- Sorting and prioritizing items
- Comments and collaboration
- Adjusting parts of projects and tasks (dates, assignees, priority)
- Making new lists and new teams
Cons
- My Tasks section - is hard to understand how to use it
- Creating my own workflow with task reminders and postponing tasks
- Lists that are easy to oversee without every time re-selecting the view
- Reduced time we take to remember what the discussion should be about
- Reduced time in finding what was where
- Reduced time in cooperation between departments who don't have meetings
We work much closer directly with Developers (I am the head of the Client Experience team). This has been great for giving them answers on questions related to clients, and for them to also talk to each other, while I see their communication. Also, I can upload print screens and this saves time.
Some of the communication has moved away from Slack and into ClickUp. We used to use two project management tools, so it's better to have just one for the whole team, not separate ones for mgmt and Dev.
- Asana and Atlassian Jira
Firstly, due to price. Also, each of the tools is more suited for a different market, while ClickUp is diverse and customizable enough so that we can all use the same tool. Onboarding on Asana was much easier, for personal tasks it's a more user friendly tool.
