Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
Here at Ancilla Ventures, we use ClickUp to manage all our projects, tasks, and technical support tickets as well as our development team's sprints. This product does an amazing job organizing all of these things for us and we've started to expand our use into ClickUp's documentation features and forms!
Pros
- Customization of fields in Tickets
- Integrations with other sites such as Google, Figma, JIRA, and GitHub
- Combining many apps into one- Ticketing, sprint tracking, form submissions, documentation, file management, and chats
- Continual improvements. The ClickUp team is always making amazing strides to update the site and make it that much better for its users
Cons
- I'd love to see the Custom Fields be set up to be specific for Task Types. Which I think is a feature ClickUp is currently working on
- Searching can be a bit slow
- Before ClickUp, my team would have multiple different project trackers, all in different locations, formatted in different ways. ClickUp has allowed us to move all those trackers into one location with a specified template and the ability to directly link tasks to tickets. This has greatly impacted project deliveries in a very positive way.
- The time tracking feature of ClickUp has been amazing for our development team. Instead of them having to track in a separate document or at the end of every day, try to remember what they worked on and when, they instead can just hit a timer button on the ticket and go off to work. This alone has saved time and improved the accuracy of tracked time to projects.
ClickUp has greatly improved my company's ability to effectively manage projects and communicate changes to our team. With Gantt Charting features, custom fields in tickets, and multiple assignees, ClickUp has allowed us to create a single space where all of our company's clients and their respective projects can exist and be tracked by not only our internal team, but also guests like the project managers of our clients.
ClickUp has done a great job providing a single app that does the work of many. Instead of having all our tickets in multiple sites, project trackers in another, client-related documents somewhere else, chats and meeting notes else where and budget tracking in a different place, ClickUp has allowed us to centralize everything into one place which creates a very effective hub for our organization.
ClickUp is definitely a marked improvement in just about every way from Redmine. UI, functionalities, usability- all of it has been a much better experience in ClickUp. As for JIRA and Airtable, I think ClickUp's overall layout and organization style trumps those sites by miles. ClickUp is so easy to use and extremely well organized.
