Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

It helps me keep my tasks tied to specific projects and priorities. I also love the universal search feature. When I dump tasks and thoughts into different workspaces and lists, I can easily come back to them later in the right context by searching for the task name, instead of having to sift through multiple lists.

Pros

  • Keeps my tasks tied to specific projects and priorities.
  • Universal search feature.
  • Contextualized tasks.

Cons

  • The interface feels very busy, so I sometimes find myself getting lost in the software instead of staying focused on the task at hand.
  • Definite time savings in using chat features over emailing (where some users only check their emails once a day).
  • We've eliminated Trello and Monday from our org's tech stack in favor of ClickUp.
ClickUp has facilitated cross-functional collaboration within our organization. It helps us break down information silos among our engineering, sales, and marketing teams. Our marketing content stays connected to the source in ClickUp through contextual tasks, which helps us incorporate the customer feedback shared with sales and the issues our engineers address through iterative design revisions.
It's replaced Trello, Monday, and the need for a chat-based work messaging service. I've integrated Google Sheets, Drive, and Canva from a marketing standpoint. We've simplified our project management, communication, and task tracking, allowing for better organization and faster turnaround times. The centralized platform has eliminated the chaos of scattered tools, boosting team efficiency and collaboration.
ClickUp has a ton of features, which can be a bit much at first. It takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it's super easy to use and helps you stay organized with your tasks. The learning curve isn't too bad, and it's designed to make things flow smoothly if you take the time to check it out.
  • monday.com
Compared to ClickUp, monday.com had a messier interface and felt too focused on marketing agencies. We needed something that could connect sales, engineering, leadership, production, and marketing, and ClickUp nailed it.
