Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

The team wasn’t fully aligned, so we introduced ClickUp to help manage projects and tasks more effectively. We’ve found the calendar view especially useful for planning events and content, while many team members also prefer the Kanban view for day-to-day workflow. As the team and workload have grown, ClickUp has helped us stay organized and work more efficiently.

Pros

  • Calendar View.
  • Task Management.
  • Project Management.
  • Project Dashboards.

Cons

  • They totally need to improve their UI/UX. It's still a bit clunky.
  • Time Saving: better tracking of projects. ~20% time saved.
  • Better cross-team collaboration. ClickUp was deployed by marketing, and slowly, other teams have started using it for task management.
  • Goal Completion: Everyone is more on top of their tasks and the various moving parts to ensure it meets the deadline.
As mentioned earlier, ClickUp was primarily being used by the marketing team. It was later introduced to Sales and Customer Success as well as other teams. Adoption has been slow but steady. There has definitely been improved cross-team collaboration since we can tag relevant stakeholders on tasks. It ensures everyone is on the same page.
We primarily use ClickUp for event planning and managing day-to-day tasks and larger projects across the team. To make our workflows more efficient and connected, we’ve integrated ClickUp with Outlook Calendar, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. These integrations have helped streamline our systems, improve visibility, and create smoother processes across different tools and teams.
I think ClickUp still has significant room for improvement when it comes to UI and UX. The platform can feel cumbersome to navigate, and it is not always intuitive, especially when trying to quickly locate projects or move between tasks. I often spend more time than I should searching for what I need. A sleeker, cleaner, and more organized design would make the experience much more user-friendly and efficient.
  • Asana
In general, Asana’s interface and overall capabilities have not evolved much in recent years. It feels less modern and far less visually engaging. By contrast, ClickUp gives users much more flexibility to personalize their workspace, from choosing icons to color-coding project labels and statuses. That level of customization makes a real difference, especially in the calendar view, where everything looks much clearer and more polished. Compared with that experience, Asana’s interface feels outdated and less compelling.

Event management is a great use case, where we've broken out all the tasks with the deadlines to ensure everything is ready on time. In addition, we love the calendar for managing content, and we color-code the different statuses to distinguish between emails, blogs, social posts, influencers, etc. It's easy for everything to stay aligned.
