Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense
Concur has allowed us to spend less time chasing down credit card receipts and trying to figure out coding with a lot of emails.
- Coding.
- Report is easy to import into our accounting software.
- Editing the details is very easy as an admin.
- User experience can sometimes be frustrating because you have to use your mouse on a computer.
- The app is not as smooth as I would like when it comes to doing multiple transactions in a row.
- The affidavit for a lost receipt is always finicky.
- Easier credit card processing.
- Increased speed with which it takes to reconcile expense reports.
- Easier way to implement reimbursements.
I have not spent a lot of time reviewing other products other than AMEX options. Our bank also provides something, but I like that Concur is more flexible with multiple types of cards and users.
We have not integrated any other software systems with Concur. I would love to integrate our ERP system, Sage 300. It would be great to not have to download the report and import into Sage every month. It is a very manual process. It isn't difficult, but if it could be more streamlined, that would be awesome. It could even connect to Timberscan instead of Sage, but that seems more difficult.
Our credit card users don't carry around paper all the time anymore. They used to have booklets of paper that would save and wait to turn into AP until they had time to go to the office. This caused so many delays, so now we are able to close our books faster.

Using Concur Travel and Expense
26 - Project Managers, Division Managers, Executives (assistants for them typically), Accounts Payable
2 - The Accounts Payable person and the Controller are the only ones that need to do any admin support on Concur.
- We no longer have to wait for cardholders to turn in expenses (invoices and coding)
- We are able to get the reports processed much quicker for month-end close
- The uploading of pictures right when the expense is incurred into the mobile app is very useful
- I think we are using it to the best of our abilities at this point

It was mostly about price for me. I knew it was solving an inefficiency just based on the basic system, so I was concerned about usability so our users are happy, but was more focused on the pricing of the product. I appreciated that you are allotted a range of reports each month and go up in price based on the range.
I would possibly look at more products, but I was happy with the overall evaluation.

No - I don't think I should have to do that. If I have basic questions, they should be solved immediately. That is what I pay for with the software.
Yes - It took multiple months to correct the issue and even get a response.
The sales people are tremendous.
