Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

[It's] Used to remotely troubleshoot and maintain client computers and business networks. It allows me to quickly access computers and know the connections are secure and saves a huge amount of time.
  • Connects to computers with just a click or two. A client calls and I can begin addressing their problem before they even finish explaining the issue. Customers call more often because they know their concern will be addressed quickly and completely in a short amount of time. Many times clients ask me to log in without their attendance so they can move on with their day. Other times work can be done after hours so as not to interrupt their day.
  • Very easy for new clients to install the app or simply type in a code to begin a session. This is especially important with less computer savvy clients. It eliminates frustration and saves many hours just getting through the takes on connecting to their computer. Those are all hours that would otherwise be unbillable. The app can be disabled at the end of the session, or remain installed for future access.
  • Two Part Authentication assures security. This reduces risk to the provider and peace of mind to the client.
  • Make it quicker to assign computers to a specific company or group without having to code the filter.
  • With LogMeIn, I can create a LogMeIn account for a user and assign their computer(s) to that account. Many times users want to log into their work computer from home. There is no limit to the number of these for my annual fee. If you can include this in your fee, I can drop LogMeIn altogether.
  • Provide the ability to EMAIL the two part auth code. If cell phone is not working or out of power, I can log into screenconnect.
  • Positive - Access multiple computers simultaneously

  • Negative - can't cost effectively add a separate ability for a client to log from home to one or more workstations at work
  • Easier ability to group computers
  • Print log of time and dates accessing computers
  • Show login more space efficiently layout or line graph
Replaced logmen due to their cost increases. I [can't] completely get rid of it because separate accounts for users home to work still needed.
Well suited
  • Remote support and connection to save time and travel. Quick & Convenient login
  • App installation is easy so I dont have to spend a lot of time coaching an unfamiliar user just to get a connection

Trouble:
  • Sometimes I can't connect to a troubled computer. Usually they try LogMeIn to make the connection.

Wish list
  • Add the ability for a user to remote log into their own computer without using up one of the 3 simultaneous connections I have. I understand I could buy more but then I might as well just stay with LogMeIn. The advantage of connectwise Control is speed and price. LogMeIn is a bit longer to connect and more expensive.
