Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control

We use ConnectWise Control to connect remotely to customer machines to initially set up our application and to assist with any remote support needs. A huge problem with our business' onboarding process is that we need to install an agent on a customer's machine, ConnectWise Control offers reasonably priced facilities to easily achieve this task painlessly.

Pros

  • Easy to set up a session for a customer to join.
  • Once controlling a session, offers a multitude of useful tools for facilitating tasks.
  • Works cross platform with no issues.

Cons

  • When network performance is degraded, ConnectWise Control could behave a bit better.
  • Sometimes connecting to sessions will yield a black screen and the session needs to be re-created.
  • There are many integrations available with other 3rd party software like Slack, but they require a lot of configuration and have little documentation.
  • ConnectWise has allowed us to operate with a small support team with a low amount of overhead.
  • Other products in this space have much higher costs and barriers to entry.
ConnectWise Control is a far less expensive option than its competitors while providing a flexible and perfectly competent remote support solution for teams both large and small. Renewal and contract structure is also favorable to other offerings, as are upgrades. Licensing is fair and allows users to effectively do more with less.
I think ConnectWise control is great for any small support team that needs to regularly initiate customer support sessions with remote machines or to control a small network of in-house machines. I'm not so sure ConnectWise Control is particularly well suited for large-scale deployments or customer bases.
