Overall Satisfaction with D&B Hoovers

I use D&B Hoovers to research companies and contacts in my target industry. By using D&B hoovers we ensure that any contacts we gather are ok to use according to our compliance guidelines. The data audience team are the primary users, unsure if other teams use it as well.
  • Provide addresses and contact details to companies.
  • Have up to date contacts
  • Connect different branches of companies for ease of understanding
  • Sometimes it is hard to find contacts in companies
  • It would be great if you could search multiple names in the name search tool for companies.
  • Some names and job titles are significantly out of date
  • It helps us reach more contacts
  • We use it to verify addresses of companies
  • Ensures that we are compliant
I think the data quality is pretty good. But there is a significant number of people missing from the database, especially contacts in Asia. There are also a fair few contacts with out of date job titles and companies. If these could be updated that would be great. I mainly look for job title and company, I don't need personal info.
I use the tool to see where people work, where the company is located and role the contact is currently in. I don't use any personal contact data beyond that. The few times I have clicked in on people it seems that the data is of good quality and recent.

Well I would recommend D&B Hoovers as it is an essential part of one of my job tasks. Without it we wouldn't be able to research and find the contacts we need. It is useful when looking for companies and then people within it, the other way around is often more difficult. Sometimes the website is a bit slow.
