Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Dropbox makes sharing, marking up, and even editing projects across teams easy! It's also a good solution for archiving past projects for a small communications group in a nonprofit setting.

Pros

  • Makes all kinds of assets - documents, photos, videos - easily accessible.
  • Total flexibility in folder and file architecture and organization.
  • Easily defined roles - viewer, editor, etc.

Cons

  • Overall UI could be a little better and more flexible.
  • Saves time - I don't have to ask for a project, I can just go look for it myself.
Dropbox is great for sharing—it has fewer barriers than iCloud while still providing security. Google is close but less robust.

It is perfect for gathering project elements and then sharing the final piece for wider consumption. However, I might not recommend it if you just have a small document you want to share.
