Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I set up a Dropbox account for a therapists office because they had no way of accessing their files remotely. Dropbox is HIPPA compliant and I let the 5 therapists know their information was safe to access remotely from their home computers if they needed to see a patient's information.

Pros

  • Easy uploads and downloads
  • Easy to organization
  • Easy to access
  • Easy to share files, pictures, and other uploads

Cons

  • Not as many upgrade requests
  • Color coding folders
  • Ability to secure a folder
  • Five licensed therapists were able to access patient files at home
  • Accessibility to reports
  • Accessibility to video and audio files
I've been using Dropbox for over 10 years. It's a reliable and up-to-date software anyone can access from anywhere if you have a phone, computer, tablet, etc. and a wifi or internet connection. You can even access things offline if you aren't able to connect to the web. Dropbox stores your most recent files locally.
I have used both of these services, but Dropbox was the first of its kind and still revenant and reliable. I share files with my family and co-workers from Dropbox that we use every day. I even have a friend in the United Kingdom that uses Dropbox to share photos from his adventures.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

I would recommend Dropbox for personal files, family sharing, small or large businesses. All these are a great way to use Dropbox. Especially if you, your team, or family doesn't already have a file sharing software. It may not be appropriate for a large hospital, but it certainly works for smaller clinics without a hospital affiliation.

Yes - The mobile interface for Dropbox works very well. I have an Apple iPhone 14 and I can get to my files for any attachment I might need if I want to send something directly from my phone. I can also upload attachments directly from the app in the Apple Appstore! I recommend getting the app.
