Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use my Dropbox, both professionally and personally. I automatically download files there. Save photos there save important documents there.

Pros

  • Sync between devices
  • Guaranteed backups
  • Save photos from phone

Cons

  • I’d like to be able to hover over an image/document and have it expand/enlarge without actually opening it
  • I’d love to see a carousel that lets me thumb through more quickly
  • I’m almost always in thumbnail view. I’d like to see them re-organize automatically when something is moved or deleted instead of leaving an empty space.
  • AI options for photo editing.
  • Easier pdf markups
The interface is pretty old school. Nothing about? It feels new, cool, or impressive.

I keep paying because it’s what I’m used to, but free google tools have some much more free storage. I started a free account for me elderly mom and it’s nearing full capacity. There is NO WAY she’s ever going to pay you, so I’ll likely have to find her another photo storage solution soon.
