Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

• Worflow organization • Sharing with team members and clients • Accessing desktop files remotely

Pros

  • Seamless integration on a MACOS system
  • File and version history
  • Fast syncing

Cons

  • Recovery and conflicted versioning
  • Troubleshooting sync issues (rare but frustrating)
  • We could not do what we do without Dropbox.
  • Our entire workflow depends on Dropbox
  • We recommend using Dropbox to every single one of our clients
  • Our experience with other apps (OneDrive, Google Drive) doesnt even come close to how effortless Dropbox is to use.
Once logged in, we don't even think about it.
We have clients who asked that we use these products: Google Drive Microsoft OneDrive While they both offer the same sharing features, the other two prefer their file types. Dropbox seems to be agnostic; therefore, we don't have to think about what KIND of files we're using. We can create Word Docs, Google Docs, Pages documents, whatever we want!

Collaborating with remote teams. We use Dropbox to produce magazines where the design team, editors, proofreaders, and printer are all in different cities. We can use indesign and incopy seamlessly with Dropbox and then provide press-ready PDFs to the printer all within an organized folder system on Dropbox.
