Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox to send large files that can not be included within an email. I also use it to store large files for easy access. This helps streamline our work, as we work from home and accessing the company servers from home can sometimes be an issue. We use it daily.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Organizing files.
File sharing.
File Transfer.

Cons

User Experience isn't great.
The site does go down often.
Folders are difficult to manage.

Return on Investment

We can easily keep track of projects and assets related to them via folder management.
We've gone from using many different fTPs, to one, making workload easier to manage.
It is inexpensive, generally.

Usability

Sometimes I have to dig around a bit to understand what I need to do.

WeTransfer, Box and Google Drive

I think it is user-friendly, inexpensive, and easy to use compared to most of the others. I like that files don't expire and that it is so established.

It is well suited for a business that uses large files (design business, photography, videography) to ensure you can store and send high-res, large files to clients or even internally. It may be less appropriate for a company with high security concerns.
