Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I am a pastor and using Dropbox allows me to easily work from a variety of devices and locations. If I am needing to work in a hospital waiting room, from home, or from my office, I'm able to stay connected to my files. Additionally, I can easily share items with others on the staff and within the church.

Pros

  • It backs up my files, which has saved me more times than I'd care to admit!
  • I can easily share files with others!
  • I can revisit previous versions of a document.
  • I can work from anywhere!

Cons

  • I'd like to be able to see version history without having to go to the website.
  • My work isn't a "numbers" kind of business, but it helps keep me organized, which benefits the whole church.
Dropbox is very intuitive. It uses a similar "file" system as the physical computer does, so there's not a lot of learning curve. I only had to learn to think of a "cloud" space for my "filing cabinet!"
I never bothered to really orient myself to OneDrive, because Dropbox is something I've used for so long. I can use OneDrive for free, but it's worth paying for Dropbox because I understand it and have such a history with it.

Dropbox has been helpful professionally, but also personally. My husband and I have a "shared file" where we put important documents for our family. He can access schedules and other important kid-items from his work and I can from mine. It also helps us keep our major purchase receipts in one place, which helps during tax time.
