Overall Satisfaction with Evernote
Evernote is primarily being used as a document collaboration tool in our organization. While it is a very simple tool, it just solves that basic problem.
- The beauty of Evernote is that it is device and operating system agnostic. We write on our app and it shows up on the web seamlessly.
- I like this better than One Note as it is much lighter and has not crashed on me even once. Creating personal tags is very convenient.
- Providing good integrations with snapshot tools would be very convenient. I can still attach the photos or screenshots but it is not simple.
- When I used Evernote, it did not have to-do lists. This was very-painful to manually go and add bullet points for a simple task.
- Evernote is not too expensive for a premium edition but still, it is not free. Our company is moving to Slack and One Note for document and message collaboration now as they are bundled as part of other bigger services.
- It would be helpful if Evernote could give a lot of other features like emails, reminders, to-dos and chat systems so that people can collaborate better.
Evernote is a very simple collaboration tool. It was first in the market and provided a great cross-platform solution to share notes. However, other tools like OneNote, Slack, Dropbox, and Box provided easier solutions. Evernote could not keep up with the trends and innovation. Bundling other features like chat and emails would definitely help.
