A great all in one marketing communication tool
Overall Satisfaction with Gist
We are using it as an all in one marketing communication package. The advanced email automation (that just got a new function of graphical campaign builder) is very handy. Also, my subscription includes a live chat and a chatbot and both works well with my sites. Also, we are using the knowledge base as an internal knowledge sharing tool. It's a good alternative for other Saas solutions.
Pros

- It's very complex so it's takes a little time until we can use it in full glory.
- We experienced a few mail delivery issues but it's already fixed.
- However, the interface is looks good but sometimes it's hard to find a particular feature.
- I'd like to see it have multiple knowledge bases.

- The email builder is very basic so we are using an other solution for build them, then import into Gist.
- It's easy to integrate some other Saas services like invole.me and Convertful into the Gist ecosystem.
Well, honestly the main differentiator was the friendlier pricing. Gist does not have the same heavy foundation as ActiveCampaign has but Gist is constantly evolving so we can't complain.
Also, the super responsive support is helping us to trust in the company and its future.
The powerful feature set and the implementation is sometimes over deliver than we excepted.

Using Gist
2 - Company marketing with email automation and live chat window. It's maintain the contact with the current and the potential future clients. Also, the knowledge base is helping our internal team members and the clients keep aligned with the most important topics. It's super helpful in the situations when someone has questions but our support is out of office.
2 - For the email marketing automation, the basic skills are the empathy (it's a soft skill), excellent writing skills and precise analytic mind to check the results. The chat function needs superb writing skills in English and patience to understand the people on the other side of the line. The knowledge base is also need this writing skills but more importantly to know the support topics in depth.

Evaluating Gist and Competitors
Yes - Intercom was our chosen chat service but with Gist we can get this feature with other helpful functions in one package. We needed an all in one solution instead of a plethora of different services. Also, we don't want to pay for unnecessary amount of money so Gist was an obvious choice.
