Overall Satisfaction with Gong

My role within the organization is to lead a sales team and Gong is leveraged primarily for training purposes of my team. Gong enables me to review my teams calls, provide instant feedback and direction which can be instantly implemented. We can also search for key elements within a call for review and discussion for ongoing training purposes. It also gives me the ability to share good practices with the team and ask questions or feedback on my own calls on occasions I am looking for some guidance or advice on a customer.

  • Saved time, by being able to identify customers that are showing the wrong signs to buy, much quicker.
  • By being able to focus on the calls that are of more benefit, higher revenues.
  • Increased focus of sales staff, as they are trying to overachieve their peers on Gong!
I think it's very easy to use and navigate. Occasionally, I find something things harder to find or I am unsure of their meaning. The Gong support team though are excellent and will quickly help with answers or jump on a call to review where you are at. Generally, an easy to use tool.
Gong.io has definitely helped through the AI technology, as it enables the user to quickly and easily search for key words or the ability to search for specific customer calls, or indeed, specific user calls. It has provided the ability to then go back to sales representatives and offer options for next steps that perhaps they had not thought of themselves. Ultimately, providing greater opportunity and revenue.
Gong provides us with insights into the customers business and also opened up other conversations that they perhaps would not have shared previously. As an example, they are aware that they are being recorded, so on a couple of occasions have asked to stop recording to share something specific with you. I believe they almost feel a little more compelled to do so, since we stop the recording!

I think in any sales scenario, as you can learn multiple things from the tool, whether for the sales representatives or the managers themselves. It brings to light a lot of discussions that most other team members were not aware of prior to being able to leverage Gong. It now enables you to listen to colleagues calls, who are successful and learn from your own team. Only place where it may not be appropriate would be for non-performance related roles.
