Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using Gong to record our external calls has saved countless hours of manual note-taking. We leverage Gong's call notes to also keep track of meeting follow-up items, which are incredibly valuable to our CSMs and sales closers. Internally, we use Gong to record our department and company calls to help keep all team members in the know when new joiners are training up on company processes or current members are catching up after time away.

Usability

Simply adding settings that allow the Gong to record external calls automatically and adding the Gong assistant to internal calls has worked nicely for our organization. One area of improvement would be the ability to flag certain email domains for external calls that should not automatically be recorded for clients who are sensitive to this.

Relevant and Accurate Insights

In my experience, the Gong AI insights have been accurate. I've personally benefitted from this feature and the follow-up action item summaries. This eliminates the need to manually take notes live during the call, allowing us to be more present.

I haven't used Chorus by Zoom in some time, so I'm unsure if they have AI summaries that could compete with Gong.

Gong is well-suited for organizations needing to record internal and external calls. The most helpful feature, IMO, is the auto-generated call notes and action items. This feature saves teams countless hours internally and can be relied on because the notes are accurate.
