Overall Satisfaction with Gong

I leverage Gong in my organization to not only review my calls, but to have peace of mind that I don't have to stress about missing something, or things moving at too fast of a pace. With Gong, I can review, add notes, and really tailor the learning and reflection to my needs

Pros

Cons

  • Having marketing campaign insights would be something interesting to see along with sales calls
  • Allowing for a dark-screen theme
  • In leveraging Gong, I would say I've seen a 1-2 meeting increase. This comes from not only giving me more time back to focus on other prospects, but allowing me to stay on top of the details to prevent anything from slipping through the cracks.
  • Echoing off the statement above - I would say that it gives me roughly 20-30 minutes more back in my day because I know I can focus on the customers needs and wants vs having to slow the conversation down.
  • It's really allowing me to get the coaching I need, but also allowing me to meet my prospects where they are in their journey.
I give it this rating because Gong has an amazing network and data pool. With the organization that I'm at, I can easily listen and review other colleagues who may be excelling in a certain area (i.g., call openings, question asking, closing the deal). This makes life easier when I can listen to not only my own calls, but I can compare and contrast the calls of my peers too.
To be transparent I don't have too much feedback in this area. I'm still fairly new to the role. I can say that the AI on Gong definitely makes searching, and pinpointing exactly what I need a breeze!
Gong has allowed me to see insights into the healthcare industry for example and how many are struggling with staff retention, but also getting the right information in front of the prospects and their families. Without Gong, it would have been much harder to compile the data and catch this trend.
ZoomInfo Sales would be the closest thing I believe I've used that's similar to Gong. While not completely the same - I find that I lean on Gong more for coaching, call review, and gathering key information I may have missed during the call.

In my role as a BDR - Gong helps me not only highlight coaching points with my manager but also allows me the time to learn on my own time - both inside and outside of work with ease. From note-taking to AI summarizing the call - it saves me loads of time. A scenario where I could see Gong not being as effective is someone who is not making a lot of dials or on the phone. If that sounds like you - Gong may be a fit, but ask yourself is it the best fit?
